Francisco Liriano No Hitter

While starting the season off 1-4 and currently fighting to keep his spot on the Twins rotation Francisco Liriano came up big for his team. Francisco Liriano of the Minnesota Twins threw the MLB's first no hitter of the 2011 season. Liriano threw 123 pitches in his 9 innings of work. He allowed six walks in the game while only striking out two batters. Liriano did not just pitch his first career no hitter, but he also accomplished a career milestone by pitching his first career complete game. He has been pitching in the majors since 2005, and has started almost 100 games. The Twins took the game 1-0 against the Chicago White Sox, and bypassed them in the division standings. The only run scored was thanks to a solo home run hit by Jason Kubel in the 4th inning. Francisco Liriano welcome to the MLB History books.
