Jays lose to the Mariners
Corey Patterson makes his Blue Jays season debut which ends in a positive note for Toronto. He hit his first home run of the season, and had 2 RBIs while batting .400. While the Jays offense did good the blue Jays Bull Pen did brutal. Started Jesse Litsch went 5 innings strong giving up no runs while walking 4 batters. The Jays pitching staff gave up a combined total of 11 walks. For a major league ball club that is absolute brutality. David Purcey, Octavio Dotel, and Marc Rzepczynski combined, allowed 4 free base runners to reach base causing the Mariners to score 5 runs in the innings. 3 of which were freebies. Dotel faced 2 batters n walked both while the bases were loaded. the only positive to that inning was the 5-4-3 inning ending double play. I understand Shawn Camp was doing good and you only had one other person in the bullpen that being the closer Jon Rauch, but you pay him the big money to close out a game for you, why not bring him in. I think if the Jays bring him in he closes the game out and the jays take the victory. Well that's just my opinion what do you guys think?
